The best you can do with that it's to search for another star system and send your colonization ship. And then, youstart from this new star system.

In my party, I'm not using my first star system, but I have two others amazing star systems which haveat least 1000 industry production^^

That's why your first star system isn't very important, the most important it's extending your empire quickly.

Yeah I posted this elsewhere, but I would be very happy if the following two options made it into the game:

*Generate a galaxy with n (and/or 2n) constellations, where n is the number of civilisations, and force each civ into a different constellation

*Balanced start system: Overwrite the system where you start with the same system for everyone.

@Cruiser: Well .. yes.. to a certain point but if I want the game to be difficult I want to decide that by using the difficulty setting (Which could include the starting position .. maybe a checkbox if the player wants that the starting position is altered by the difficulty).

@VieuxChat: I also like randomization but as I said only to a certain point after that it just is frustrating (because either the game will be to hard or to simple), not to mention Multiplayer where it is gamebreaking and might make the game unplayable. However I'm very glad to hear that the devs are aware of the problem.

@Randeng: I'm not talking about a good position, I'm talking about a fair one, maybe one thats tailored to the difficulty I set.

I only wanted to stress that point due to the fact that many 4X games failed in that respect (CiV IV to mention one of the more prominent ones) and where users then made some mods to show that it is possible.

Yes, only for the starting system, you should have a good one (at least 4 or 5 planets).

Even though I like randomization, it seems the RNG is going very far. There's a problem at the moment with the galaxy generation. Devs are aware smiley: smile

When life deals you lemons, you make lemonade. Deal with the situation. If you have a rough start its so much more pleasing when you come out on top.
