Do you like to rename your star systems?

I always rename my starting system "Home." Sometimes I name key choke points, or main shipyards. But in general I'm fine with the names that the game provides.

I rename both, my systems and my ships in every game. Usually I try to pick a specific theme to go for and I try to stick with it ^^ Not only it makes everything easier to remember, it's also fun to create your mark in the world... even if it's a video game

I tend to rename my home star "Homestar" and then rename my first 4 or 5 systems, then leave the rest alone.

I don't rename systems. But fleets. Fleets i rename. 1st fleet just sounds so much more natural than alpha fleet.

Renameing the starsystems has proven to be an asset to the gameplay. When you have concured many star systems it is easier to keep note which is the newest. Or you can also name them by their productivity or situation. Keeps me organized.

I almost always rename my home system first. If I'm playing as the UE, I quickly change the system name to "Sol".

Personaly, I take name from Elder Scroll franchise, especially divines or daedrics names. They looks like mysterious.

I name fleets and systems, love that we have the option! May be a little tedious, but could we get the option to name ships too? I.e. Default name equals ship design name, but you can change that and there will always be a sub-name designating the ship design so that you can recall that for retrofits, layouts, and whatnot. This would be especially great for granting some individuality to higher level ships and setting them apart!

I think that it's a good idea to will be possible to rename planets too. And if we can change the system home in order to choose a best situation on the galaxy?

Count me as a third. SoaSE allowed this and it made for some fun. Star Wars planet names are always the easiest to recall and can be made to match the planet type. One of the default names for a planet in SoaSE was "Chodus". I had a high-school giggle from that one.

I'm a Sci-Fi nerd and I need it to know which System does what.

My Shipyards are always named Mars, Cadia, Kuat, Corellia, Giedi Primus and whatever else comes to mind

Research Systems are called Alpha, Beta (After Memory Alpha) and the Food System is always named Caladan.
