Your option buttons in the top left hand corner have tooltips that list some completion information when you hover over them. I know for sure that I've seen economic and expansion percentages in those tooltips, I imagine there are others as well.

It gives scores and rankings, but doesn't really tell you where you stand in your victory conditions. I agree with maceman that it would be good to have that information, as well as to play past a given victory. ..fritz..

yeah tool tips are not always intuitive. I remember the first time I found that ranking pop-up it was accidental. I spent forever searching around to find it again.

This means it's not clearly labeled or intuitive to me.

If I hover over the icons in the top left of the screen the info displays Economic, Geographical, Martial victory percentages. I took that to mean how close you were to the victory type. (think they start to appear at 50%, so half way to victory).

Could be wrong however, as the i had an AI with 100% economic victory label for 4-5 tunrs before they won.

Did you check out the amplitude response in my thread? If so maybe you should contact the member and send him your savegame so they can see why yours worked?

Also, he posted again mentioning how game speed affects vic conditions, were you playing on slow?

No, its a confirmed bug that you cannot disable them.

Actually, in my own experience, I can confirm that if you disable all victory conditions, you won't trigger them.

By turn 170, I had achieved Economic, Scientific, and Expansion victory. None of them triggered.

Just wanted to point out - the dust that accrues towards the economic victory is somehow counted BEFORE expenses. As in:

Planetary Revenue --> Goes toward victory condition

-System Expenses

=Displayed Income (on empire screen)

I have gotten the economic victory even when I set my tax rate to 0% and had a net loss of thousands of dust per turn late game.

I've been turning off economic victory lately. The amount needed should probably scale with the game size, 300,000 is a lot on a tiny map, but on a huge map you're gonna hit that eventually even without trying.

Yeah, 300k on a huge map is too easy. You should be able to put in a custom number.

Turning it off doesn't do anything unfortunately. I still win/lose economic even with it 'disabled'

300.000 dust is too easy, i guess this amount will be changed by the release.

But i agree that some menu to see the advancement on each victory type would be really nice, as it's always a surprise when you win economically.

Can anyone tell me the amount of dust that is required to win an economic victory and if there is a way to see how far you have progressed towards that value?

Thanks.
