I like symmetric stuff. It's pleasing to the eyes.

I don't know about the windmill. It looked like it was designed by a human. Though in reality all of them are made by human but still. I imagine robots 'like' symmetry but that's my canon.

That's a nice idea. Really gets started on making the certain faction 'yours' especially in games with players playing the same races.

However, I did select A, it has much more of a machine feel to it. I don't think they would really make things asymmetrical, as they really do not have the 'mind' that other races might.

Sower logo was the first one I got to vote on, I chose C.

I approve of the winning Amoeba logo. It's kinda...poke-ball-y, but B and C feel less Amoeba-y (C is way too intricate).

I voted for the second one, if I recall. And for the Sower logo, I voted A as it reminded of the Sower Leader.

Ameoba Logo A was hideous, so of course it won. Sower Logo A is hideous, so of course it will win.

Logo C is almost as bad, though. Two out of three of these logos are dire. I'm voting for B. It's acceptable, if not wonderful.

I read this thread before voting. The logo threads have occasionally changed my preferences. I wish more people would read the threads first. I wish even more that people would stop picking the bloody symmetrical logos. They're ugly!

Someone said to me the other day, "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder." You don't like symmetrical logos, fine. But that doesn't mean everyone else is inferior because they like symmetry. I wish all the logos were symmetric, but I'm not whining.

I wanted B for the Amoeba as a organic life which doesn't need a symetric logo... too bad we had the poké ball

For the sowers, Ichse the symetrical one A because it looks like 4 shovels crossed to form a chipset. So... terraforming machines

I went with B. It reminded me of windmills, and windmills remind me of farms, wells, and generally changing some of the landscape. And, c'mon people, B is symmetrical. Just a different kind of symmetry than most people think of.

Exactly! Looks a little like the disk on sowing equipment....they're called the Sowers....is it such a big leap of faith?

I think a mod to change the logos would be cool but I really like the idea of selecting a logo from a pool when you start the game.

To honor the logos that won the polls, they could be the default/standard and the ones used by the AI. I personally like the logos as they are, but I know people would appreciate the freedom to choose.

It doesn't really bug me, and is of course the outcome one should expect if many people vote on design. I just think some of the symmetric logos are boring. The symmetric one for the Sower is ok in my opinion, the one for the Amoeba which one is actually great, though I didn't vote for it, the one for Hissho and above all the Sophons logo that won are really bad I think. Just my personal taste.

I don't think they will allow us to chose the logo ingame, wouldn't make sense to put them up to vote now if they did. But a mod for that, or even a mod for being able to use any pic as a logo would actually be a very good idea!

/edit: oh and: the Horatio logo is just plain awesome and fits perfectly

It looks like the Hissho logo that won isn't symmetrical. The symmetrical one looks cool though.

And it doesn't seem like any of the Sophon logos were especially good...

I like the one that won. The Sophon logos weren't great, right, but I think the one that won is worst. Which is kinda sad because it's my favourite faction^^

The one on the left probably suits them more, but I like the center one more. But since I chose the Cravers I think my opinion shouldn't matter as much as yours. Leave the decisions in the hands of people who care, I think.

Well, every opinion matters. I think most of us will try several factions, and all of us paid for the game, and for our opinions to matter =) But to be honest, there are no bad choices there. Every design is well made and thought through.

I guess I will try every faction, if I don't like them I just don't finish the game with them. Does anyone know if there will be a Sower Hero competition btw?

I had a hard time fo rchoosing.

A is great, but symetric (and I think there's enough of them)

B is great, but a bit too "human" centric

C is great, but I don't see the sower in it.
