I think that the terran battle and the espionage aren't the only absences in this game... it's perfect, but these two ( most than other the terran battle or the invasion ) are the little things that lead the game to a new level.

1. Invasion

2. Bombardment

3. Destroy colony (planet)

4. Destroy colony buildings, rob the banks, leave people naked and run away, laughting evilly!

5. Destroy system (entirely WOOOHAHAHAHA)

I just thought about another option. What about "pillage system" that could allow us to empty the whole system of its ressources (maybe transrefable to another system) over the run of a few turns ? then the system would be completely unhospitable.

Other option : sterilize : well, no real need to explain that one.

the poll answers are wrong. it lack a "yes please some more" as both possible answers as they are just mean that we don't want anyhing else.

I would really like other options, like destroy, make a vassal, give away

Personnally, I'd see the option to create "puppet cities" while still having th invasion option.

Razing them could also have its plus side if I'm simply looking for slaughering (or if it's implemented in a way that allows me to raze a colony before my opponent can get fleet backup to chase me out of the system then that could be a really cool tactical move)

we just a "sell all" button for improvements.

then we can just put these dump-systems on conversion and forget about em. as is proper.

having another option, like the "puppet city" of Civilization would be good. the system still stays colonized, so no pirates can come from it, but it's not in the empire, so we don't get negative effect for spreading too much. Maybe event gie back the system to improve diplomacy, and the possibility to kill everyone in it ?

That sounds awesome. I were thinking the same thing myself.

Totally agree with you. I'd really love those improvements.

Merely a design concern of mine is that sometimes when i'm playing for military victory, I don't want to take control over all the systems that i'm conquering for the sake of saving myself the micromanagement of useless systems. I'm not saying that bombardment would be a good alternative but maybe there should be some alternative.

I would like there to be a bombardment/invasion choice. Bombardment could be easier, but obviously you don't get the colony.

Along the lines of the point, Any sort of influential, economic, espionage or religious way of taking (Or influencing) a system would be would be welcomed by me.

@Nosferatiel: Another good post, full of logic and very informative at the same time. Thanks.

I think the removal of 'useless' systems is a great idea... because sometimes... to heck with the environment... just burn it.
