I have two comments to this insight.



First, it's obviously possible to add assets - in the form of ship models. In that sense it would be fully sufficient to hand out a more detailed documentation on the format of prefebs (and their paths!) to gain access to other stuff. As for weapon effects it would already be great to have more variety. It would be ideal, but not strictly neccesarry to be able to add new ones ourselves.
