"Oh so you prefer a mildly temperate planet with lots of water?? Well how about if I use my microwaveemitter and boil your seas away cooking all inhabitants alive then extract the water to leave a barren planet ready to be populated." smiley: smile

It could besides the terraforming-value even add strategic value. The most inhospitable planets would be unaffected by terraforming-weapons but would yield the least resources too.

That's a great idea! Destructive and useful smiley: smile

I'd also thought about collapsing star lanes (if used) while fleets are travelling through them or at least disrupting their eta. I feel that once a race is sufficiently advanced then the sky should be the limit with regards to offensive weapons.

A sense of balance could be achieved by having such technology be extremely specialised.

That would actually be kind of cool. It would be like an AI rebellion or something. Neat.

I, too, would be interesting in things that can add some drastic changes to the end-game. Like some Dust-disease that start to eat Dust in each and every planet of the universe, or Dust achieve consciousness and start battling against those that enslaved it.
