Agreed - events with images is a great way to make the UI more alive. Could also be added for generic events such as terraforming, ship construction and so forth.

I read before that they've ruled out cinematics anyway, due to budget constraints.



But I agree, something like this would be awesome. They get to use the incredible artwork they have lying around, and add some more to the game.

Well, they did say that some production values are missing from the alpha and hopefully this is one of them, but yeah it would own to have this, maybe with (very) short continuous/looping cinematics showing some actioon
