So my understanding is that the Mundane artifacts bonus will increase science from trade, will the Proto-Orchid do the same? Furthermore does it also increase the dust output of trade as well?

For science

Pull up empire view ... Write down the values of science output for every colony/outpost you have ..If you hover over each system you will get values with a bit more precision (one decimal) ... Sum them all together and multiply by 1.1 ... Go to the tech disc screen ...check curent science per turn .. should match ... (that's how the Mundane artifacts luxury bonus operates)



Should be able to check the same for dust income sum (of all systems dust outputs) * 1.1 should match curent DPT displayed in the tax screen..



Excess Food and Industry are system values, they cannot be exported from the solar system - it doesn't make sense to consider them at empire level ... So the bonuses for them should be applied at system level (for each system) ...Here are the formulas for food excess (SFE) and industry (SI) at system level /#/endless-space/forum/33-strategy-guides/thread/14013-solar-system-level-fids-guide ... Pick a system .. calculate your SFE and SI using those formulas.. multiply the value by 1.1 and then check if it matches the values for SFE and SI displayed at system level ... It will be interesting to see if the bonus to food is applied to total food (much stronger) or just to excess food (more probable) ...



I did the math for Mundane artifacts this morning ...it checked out ... So I expect the bonuses for the other luxuries/monopolies to work too ...Will hopefully get to test those when I get home ..I have a craver domination game about to reach critical mass
