Question: sometimes a star system's name will appear as black text on a white background. Usually this text is white on black. What is the significance of the white background?

good question, the white background signifies that the harmony have purified the system. this means dust can not be produced in that system and said system can never go back to normal.

Good day!

Faced with the problem in the diplomacy.

For some reason there is only one point to "declare war" with all races.

Made more than 70 moves, and I have developed quite strongly rivals, and diplomacy is still empty.

Maybe it is necessary to examine specifically?

Although most sin on my matryoshka, ie I play VirtualBox virtual machine is running on win7, the parent system OpenSuse 13.1

well there are basically two explinations:

1. you have to research more techs on the LEFT side of the techtree. they should not be too far from the center, tier 2-6 I'D assume.

2. You're playing the "Cravers" mean space cyborb bugs that know only war and come over the galaxy like locust. this Faction does not have the option to make peace or form alliances.

PS: XD just a few minutes before me someone seems to have answered your question on the russian forum^^

How do I change starting position on a galaxy seed?

I read you could just change color before but that was changed. Do I have to dive into the save file to do it now and if so, what do I need to change? Can you turn off/on some setting to get the color switch?

Basically, I'm red and want to start on blues position.

How can I get a copy of the tech tree that has useful, and readable information, instead of the nonsense techno-babble. Its the biggest weakness, and the most irritating tech tree i have seen, ever. Please fix it so humans can use it to plan ahead.

Do the vaulter ships have specialization slots? I created my own faction ("modded") and i use the AffinityMappingVaulter yet none of their ships have specialization slots. I was going to try another affinity just to see where I might have gone wrong but figured I would do both ask and test.

I've just started playing the Vaulter race (thank you for finally adding a female leader!), and I'm having an end-game issue. Sometimes, I simply stop being able to research new tech. I'm generating plenty, but all tech shows as needing 999 turns. I've haven't been able to complete a tree yet.

Am I triggering an event that I haven't come across before? Is it a Vaulter thing? I've gave up on three games because of it so far.

Probably ur building the thing that requires 8 turns to build [onfast]

It drains research by 66% globably (so building 2 would mean u get 0%)

Just wait till it's done and u will get research :-) [Ithinkthatsurproblem] I sadly don't remember the name of the improvement

It doesn't seem to have to do with anything I'm building....I have waited long enough that everything finished up and was on to another project and I'm still stuck.
