Been searching for answers to this....may have missed them elsewhere......sorry if I did.

My first game, about a 100 turns in, Population in my home system has been disappearing. Probaly because my home system has been unhappy for a while. Question is did they die off?....or did they migrate to my other systems?

Which brings about my second question.....can you transfer populations from one system to another?

I was a fan of Space Empires V, where you could build Population transfer ships to move your people around your empire. Any such system planned for ES?

If your system has negative food, population dies by starvation. You cannot transfer population; you can build a colony ship using industry, and land it on a *new* planet, but that is not the same thing. Please look into jetkar's suggestions thread in my sig for some suggestions about transferring population.

Negative food? (I guess maybe I need to find a manual) I always have more food than Population icons.....not sure what that might mean.

I don't have any problems transferring population from planet to planet within same system. I understand how that works.

I was asking if it is possible to transfer population out of system to another colonized system.

When I send a Colony ship off does that cause me to loose population? I do tend to send a steady stream of colony ships out from my home system.

Also is it just me?...... cause I don't see a link in "my sig" or any where else in your post. But I do appreciate your reply.

Regarding starvation, hover the mouse over the food column in the empire view, and hover the mouse over the food value in the system view. This will give a breakdown. I have not seen your game, but the only reason for population decrease is starvation.

It is not possible to transfer population from one system to another.

Please note all the four items in my sig are clickable hyperlinks.

And since you mention a manual, I guess I will point out that you can get it in the steam library screen. There are a number of links at the right side, one of which is "manual".

The Sophons -50% support module cost and Hissho's -50% weapon module cost...what are these "costs" affecting? Tonnage cost? Industry cost? Both?

They affect tonnage cost to that specific module type. So you can fit more items because if you have like, 4 support modules that are usually 8 each, they are now 4 each, allowing for more modules (of any type)

Transfer population to systems? Colony ships only. Transfer pop to other planets in system? Yes, just click the number you want to move in the system view from 1 planet to another.

Tried to find some sort of "Diplomacy FAQ", but didn't see one.

Question: What are the necessary conditions in order to trade a planet with another Faction? I do already have "Relativistic Markets" (giving me "Alien Security" which says it should allow this), and I'm trying to trade with a friendly Faction with whom I have a Peace Treaty: they were crippled in their start by being overwhelmed by Pirates and they lost a planet to them, and while I can capture the planet back for them, I don't seem to be able to give it back to them.

It is pretty rare to be able to find a situation where I can have a peaceful interaction with a Faction and even, perhaps, Trade, and this would help me explore that in this game start...any info? Searching on 'trading planets' or 'trading star systems' didn't seem to help me find prior posts on this.

To trade planets, you find the planet in your planets section of trade and press it. If you want you can ask to recieve something for it.

I, don't know. Maybe others do, if they haven't answered, they don't know. Try posting it in the suggestions section.

With Endless space, when I setup a game and I uncheck all victory conditions except for example domination (not sure what it is called in ES) does the AI know that there is just one route to win? hence will all AI be extra hostile and ignore going after financial victory etc?

Hi, a short question.

I like to play together with a friend using one computer. Most 4x games support this feature so you can tell the games to use 2 or 3 humans and set all other players to AI.

Then Player1 makes his turn then Player2, an so on and after this the computer AI's taking their turns.

Is this possible with the actual game, or is this planned?

Connecting the making games together with steam..? So bought the game on steam but it doesn't seem to be registering that here as I don't see the correct number of points just the 100...anyway lOVE the game looks like a space based Civ which is absolutely excellent. Hope to be able to help out some in the little bit of time that is left before it comes out...wish I had found the game earlier!

Any chance of this using the steam workshop for mods? It would make support for them much nicer! I'd love to do custom races!

It's being discussed in the modding forum: in this one thread. Can't give an answer now, despite the idea being very interesting; if we ever consider it, it will be post-release anyway.

Endless Space uses Steamworks: it's very useful for updates, the multiplayer, etc. Apart from that, there is no DRM. So I guess it'll be the same for the retail version (with Iceberg Interactive): it'll require Steam as well.

It is available through other online retailers, such as www.gamersgate.com

But the game does have Steamworks plug-ins, otherwise we would have had to develop all the multiplayer / matching / product key stuff ourselves.
