I have the same problem no video but only purple background. I also have GeForce graphics and I can start game like it has to be with integrated graphics but game is not going smooth with it.

Previous version of drivers didn`t help.

It's a long shot, but have you tried running the game with all other processes disabled, such as after a clean boot?

You guys all have Nvidia mobile cards, which makes me think this could be GeForce Experience or similar messing with things. Otherwise it'd be worth trying to install a previous version of your card's drivers to see if the issue persists with it.

Nearly the same here, with the exact same computer and Windows, however I can't do anything to run the game.



I tried integrated graphics, win8/7/Vista/XP compatibility mode, "-novideo" mode on steam, but all I can reach is to run the intro videos without the purple effect..., but after them the game completely stuck!

I can't even reach the menu, the game gets stuck at the "Endless Space" background picture right after the intro videos.



I have the latest drivers/ verified all the game datas, uninstalled/reinstalled the game. (the game worked before Windows update 1511.



Can someone help?
