I have been given a link by someone playing this game but when I go to that page it just asks me to login then nothing. So how do I download the game please?

To download the game, you have to be selected first. So go to the Open Dev application submission, fill the survey and maybe you will have the chance to have access to Humankind :)

Would you expand on the reasons to restrict axcess to the demo? Is it as simple as giving super early peek in the hands of youtubers and the like?

Raz, let me be frank with you for a moment.

When/if you design and code a game.  When you spend years on art, colors, tone, and hue.  When you contact music stars such as Jim Brickman for scores in your game then you will understand and also know why they restrict access as they do.

Not really. It's going to be released to the public eventually anyway. 

I already did this so it's just a waiting game, but I see that only streamers are getting it right now and thats fine, maybe when closed beta comes around I will get it since I have put my app in before then...

Nice, now I hope to be selected. I had a preview seeing potatomcwhiskey playing & stetically seems awesome, so far it looks supperior to CIV VI (to be fair it's a 4yo game).

PotatoMcWhiskey also brought me here. I'm very excited for this game! a shame I haven't been able to play the early access. Would be very fun to stream.

Unfortunately no i bieleve openDev ended today, but there might be other one later

So even if you managed to register you wouldnt be able to play this one

They said that if OpenDev was a success they could do more and would try to include more people, but wanted to start small to be sure it worked ok and could manage the flow of feedback
