In my game I've completely conquered every single city and outpost of another nation that declared war on me, they don't even have any units.
However, in the peace treaty I have to give back some lands that I took in order for them to accept the peace treaty. Is this the way it should work?
I'm familiar with how in a game like europa universalis, even if you fully occupy another nation sometimes you can't 100% annex in the peace deal, but there isn't any explanation here why does this happen and if maybe they'll "give up" and just let me control their cities sometime in the future.
