A while ago I was playing the Opendev I noticed something cool and would like to hear if anyone else found a mechanic or fun inclusion like this. I was checking out the different tool-tips just to see if there was anything I might've missed while playing. Sure enough I hovered over the population growth meter (not the food amount but the growth meter) and it said that population growth increases as population increases. I find this to be a wonderful mechanic that had took me off guard for a second, why do 4x games lower population growth as more people are born? The fact that this isn't the case in Humankind is a very nice surprise that made me appreciate the fact Amplitude bothered to do something different and take a more realistic approach to population growth.

Another detail I've noticed is the little animals and fauna that appear on the world map, it's not much but if you run your mouse over them they start to scatter and run away, a cute inclusion. The same doesn't work for fish on the ocean tiles so maybe that's something to implement in the future but I'd like to know if there's more stuff like this in the game because I find it all very refreshing.
