Will there be a day and night cycle animation? Its less needed and more a sprinkle of detail, but I thought I should ask the community, as I'm pretty curious. Thanks everybody!

While I don't remember the Developer sayings something about a light cycle, I doubt this game will launch with one.

I'm in favour of a Day / Night cycle. Both ANNO 1800 and Civ VI have one and ANNO's is particularly beautiful. There's no immersion broken either, at least from my perspective. I don't make the mistake of thinking that each turn is a small part of a day. It would just make the game more visually pleasing considering that we spend quite a lot of time looking at the same map region most of the time.

However, there are much greater priorities and if the devs do consider the option, I'd be happy to get it later this year.
