humankind does feature revolutions, at two different levels:

If stability in a city is very low, you may face a rebellion. In that case, some of your population will leave and turn into an army of Independent People nearby, who may try to take your city for themselves.

If stability is low across your whole empire, you may face a revolution. You'll have a few turns to react and improve stability, but if you do not, all your civics choices will be reset and you will be refunded some (but not all) civics points.

Will the ideology sliders be affected by the latter case of revolution?

england'S biggest colony revolted and found United States! Yeah that can add more challenge to the game if we try to keep peoples happy when we expend too much

What if we can use spy for starting a new thing like revolt which will decrease stability and help to produce trained army. There can be scenario of collapse of an empire to smaller empires.

In Lucy Opendev, this scenario occurred to some of the AIs which had stability issues. At one point I noticed several AI cities get turned into Independent Peoples which was interesting.

I'm always a fan of espionage in 4X games... so having additional options for saboteurs or spies would be nice. As of Lucy, saboteurs could only contribute on that front by cross closed boarders and collecting information. There wasn't an option to covertly sow discord, pillage unattended quarters, or sabotage infrastructures.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude. That'd be sooooo sick! Imagine place ideological insurgents in your friend's country.

Yeah That's very interesting! That show us that Humanking has a game mecanic for low stability. I don't know if distance from capital city count into that. However, that would be awesome to loose a complete colony and it make a new nation.

I guess 6 conditions could create revolts..

  1. Cities are very productive
  2. City's stability is too low
  3. Oversea territories (distance from capital)
  4. Low cultural inlfuence
  5. Poor economy
  6. Religious fellowers

P.S. The game release is little more than one month... I will give it a test. I am not sure if i will really like playing Humankind but i will give it a chance. I think it will take more evolution for that game to be ready. Civ VII will be a competitor eventually.

You should definitely give it a try, it has a lot of potential especially if the devs refine it more and transform it into a great product like their other 4x games. We know nothing about Civ 7 but Civ 6 is no competition with its clown cartoony graphics and design. It`s more targeted towards kids and even a lot of players that played Civ 5 don`t like it. Humankind in my opinion can be significantly better than that.

I agree about civ 6.  I have the feeling that this game mechanic of humankind have a great potential. If humankind add more historical content it will be even better in my opinion. About civ 7, Humankind will keep Firaxis games under pressure :D
