I was playing Joseon in the Victor OpenDev and noticed that some of my research quarters looked like this:

but other research quarters looked like this: So it would seem quarters can visually change depending on how high its yields are (3 science in image 1 vs 19 science in image 2)

This may have already been a feature in the Lucy OpenDev but I didn't notice it then. (or the visual changes might be more subtly for other quarters?)

nevertheless I thought this was a nice bit of attention to detail that others may not have seen.

I'm not sure if it's tied to the yield numbers, but we know that some quarters have variable appearances, so they aren't all the exact same.
