It actually creates some resentment of the streamers themselves if they choose not to shill the promoted game 24/7 for the limited duration of the promotion. Adding someone like the Spiffing Brit as an unlock reward is wasteful considering he personally admitted he has no intention of ever live streaming, therefore making the award unobtainable. Quill was 'involved' in this promotion while also doing a 48 hour game coding stream.

I don't feel the streamers are obligated to be constantly live streaming Humankind but between the esoteric mechanics of the drops and the inconsistency of availability of advertised streamers the whole thing is a frustrating let down.

Well, Amplitude have acctually both times they had this event, Lucy and now Victor, made live streams too, which during those livestream unlocks all the current existing creator avatars. Of course first they give the streamers the chance to stream and have the drops activated, but when only a few days remaining Amplitude also make streams that drops all the avatars. During Amplitudes Victor stream, a few days ago, You could even earn the drops for last rounds streamers avatars. All at once. NOT needed to chose one drop then watch another hour and chose next. You only needed to watch 1 hour and then You had them all.

They have also plenty of times in their streams announced that there will be ways to earn the drops later as well, so if You missed them now, keep your eyes open and look for future information on when to earn them.

As a gamer I personally I think this is fun lite extra bonus and has gotten me to discover quite a few new streamers I didn't know of (been mostly on youtube and never been much of a Twitch guy before) and found some I really enjoy to watch now. So yes, it is good for Twitch/the platform I guess, as well as for the streamers. That is what cooperation is meant to be. Not just benefit one side.

So please don't lose hope. Eventually You might catch the drops. Keep Your hopes up, but also stay tuned to not miss it. Amplitude and Cat usually post information. To find the information is on each and one of us. Not anyone elses responsibility in this age of flood of information online. Not always easy, but that's why we need to really pay attention and look around. "The one who seeks shall find", as they say.
