I started the game and had my "hunting party" out exploring and collecting curiositys and as the game started to progress around turn 30-45 some of my hunting parties were in areas of the map along the borders of other civ's boundaries and I was not able to move them anywhere because moving through another civs boundaries is an act of war and said I would have to declare war in order to get through.

What do you do in that situation?  they were basically blocked in at a peninsula so really there is no place for them to go, should I disband them or just leave them there until ? I have no idea what to do, they are basically stuck in limbo not able to move because all the tiles around them are another civs territory

You can also attempt to move them through enemy territory by "Trespassing". Basically, while having selected the scout, right click within your own borders and they will attempt to move to that location. They will have to move through enemy territory, allowing them to be attacked and also losing 10% max hp each turn until they make it back you your borders. This is how the AI moves around, which is why you see them moving armies through your territory occasionally.

Ok thank you, I will probably just get rid of them they are just scouts, I only have 2 outposts maybe I will see if I can make one with them...... This is a very interesting game, I need to read the users manual :)
