After 25+ hours experimenting with city planning across the OpenDevs I was very impressed by cities

I have heard a lot of arguments on whether Humankind or Civ 6 is the better game, and, while I think it may be too soon to give a presumptive answer, I do find that Humankind has a much better grasp on city management and planning as someone that enjoys this aspect of 4X games

In the video I briefly explain both aspects of city planning and why I think Humankind has some advantages over Civ 6

I really like how cities are so customizable. I've built cities that are production powerhouses with others dedicated to massive farming to feed other cities.

Fair video, but it's so short! Also that looks like the previous opendev. Did you notice any difference in regards to city building between the two versions?

The city you're showing at the beginning of the vid isn't from Humankind, it's from some other game. I'm not going to defend Civ 6, because that game has it's own issues. My comment is strictly about the latest iteration of Humankind (Poe dev). To deal with the overpowered stability penalty, my cities ended up spamming garrisons and commons quarters. This did not make for elegant or even decent looking cities. The game has issues.

Further, on a strictly technical basis, the latest dev had errors requiring exit to desktop frequently, and it runs my computer so hot the fan was on all the time in the mid to late game (which it did not do in the previous beta). The game moved so slowly, I thought it was going to crash. Why are you talking about the Victor open dev (which ran significantly better than the latest) instead of the Poe?

The game has serious problems. Anyone who talks about Humankind without mentioning these issues sorta loses credibility. The devs have a huge job in front of them getting this thing ready for launch by August, if that's even possible at all.
