Any thoughts on which platform I should buy Humankind?

I always use a lot of mods, and I have no idea how Epic handles them or if it does a good job.  Has anyone used mods for games on Epic?

Thanks

Depending on how much is implemented on the Steam side, the experience may be similar at the beginning.  But almost certainly Steam will be a much better experience as soon as Workshop support is fully implemented.  I have used some mods with Epic and they were all manually applied (like unzipping files and putting them in specific directories).

From what I have read since I asked the question, and looking at the Epic Games Launcher app, Steam is the winner.  Steam mod support is excellent

Go with Steam  - you get great mod support with the Workshop, regular sales and other features. Until the Epic store integrates mod support there is no point in dabbling with them.

From what I can see in-game, the mod support in the game isn't supposed to be with Steam's workshop but a separate service on its own, so there might not be much of a difference between Steam and Epic re: mods.
