I don't even know where to post it, maybe it was supposed to be "unbeatable"?

So I started game as soon as it was unlocked for me. Game prompted to me on launch to choose if I had any experience. After I choose it booted me in game and 6 hours later I got up to last era and I thought there would be some kind of goal for game to end, but instead it just writes "Game ends in infinite number of turns"(rechecked, didn't skip any kind of window). Is it supposed to do that or am I missing something? Wanted to finish my first game today, but kind of bummed out right now by the thought that I need to do a new run :<
