Really bothered me that your most important cities will be centered around Olmec pyramids and other ancient structures. Every culture has a unique city centre but how are you meant to see the later ones when all the land has been claimed by then?

I was wondering if anything had been added since the opendev to let you renovate your city centre, this would be a great immersion and roleplaying feature.

Well, the goal of the game is also to show the contrast between the first things you built and the ever evolving things around, so that's intended, I personally can't see the point in changing that

BUT with that said, having the option to can't hurt, so why not ? ^^

I understand that and I think that point is served by emblematic districts remaining, they are your legacy. City centres remaining unchanged for the entire game seems to against the idea of evolving cultures. Your main cities are going to be represented with ancient era centres for the entire game. You might get to see the newer city centres in some minor satellite settlements.

A 'renovate city centre' project or button that updates a city to your current culture would be very welcome.

Hmmmm, now that I think about it, yeah, it might be good to be able to do it

Wonders or emblematic districs can stay as is as they are a mark of your past cultures, but city centers ?

Yeah, that makes complete sense in fact

I took my little town as an exemple with the city center that is clearly early middle age surrounded by recent architecture, but it might not be a common sight for everyone, so I can understand why :')

Thanks, I do really like the concept of older architecture remaining in some way which is why I think an option would be great so you could still have your modern metropolis with an Industrial or Early Modern town centre but also choose to update them if you want to give them a more modern look.

The main issue now is the big cities will be the ancient and classical era ones with Mycenean palaces and Babylonian ziggurats in reality most of cities from these times are gone or have long since transformed to be unrecognisable. Many of us live with still recognisable Medieval, Early Modern and Industrial areas that have taken the place over the older settlements.

The developers went to the effort of giving all 60 cultures unique city centres, I want to be able to see them!
