I just noticed I had this in my email and wanted to share with anyone visiting the forums to check it as well and to fill it out if they do. With all the complaints piling up for all sorts of reasons ranging from multiplayer issues to core game mechanics some may have I'd say this is a good place to direct your concerns and feedback to the devs directly. I plan to do it this weekend personally. Frankly during the OpenDevs I gave truckloads of input and it felt like a job I was volunteering for but it felt like my passion for a solid 4x game brushed aside my personal beef with the time investment this required... I'll treat it the same way for now and see how development and tweaks go as I personally was happy with changes I did see from OpenDev.

Says in the email that it won't take longer than 10 minutes to complete but if they have an open blank text area to fill in I got a feeling it will take me longer than 10 minutes haha.

If you are subscribed to their mailing list these kinds of emails take some time to show up, either that or it might have been redirected to Spam/Junk.

Problem is, they do not ask the right questions. They ask what they should put in future DLCs they are going to sell.

It's a really bad survey because many of its questions (like the part where you're required to pick which Cultures you think are the strongest and the weakest per era) don't have decent answers (how the heck am I supposed to know how strong the cultures are relative to each other? They're so bland that I don't even remember what they do, when I'm actually playing the game I only pay attention to the culture's bonus, not its name), but they're also mandatory and don't give you the option for a neutral answer. That's just really shitty design.

IIRC the last option was "I don't know" which I'd count as neutral, and while yeah some questions were about potential DLC a good number of them weren't. I'll agree that they could have asked more detailed questions but keeping in mind this is part of a survey not everyone will have the same amount of game knowledge that enthusiasts have (who usually are posting in the forums anyways).

Do they have a fill in the blank section for filling in anything extra you may have as feedback or is it just multiple choice answers then?

If I remember correctly there is a box you can fill at the end for additional comments plus some questions give you the option of choosing Other as an answer which lets you type it out.

I did my survey duties and was mildly bummed out that I had limited characters to provide additional feedback in the fill in the blank sections but nonetheless I was still more happy than not to provide feedback and answer the questions they wanted us to focus on.

Reading this questionnaire, I had the impression that the Avatar was an important thing for them in Humankind. : \

Yeah while it's neat it's definitely not super important to me lol. They should let us create our own avatar AI to challenge and call it a day with expanding on it much imo.
