Hi. I've recently came back to Humankind so i might not be aware of all the mechanics/changes. I've been playing a game where i had no other players around me,

The only other civilization i've encountered was like 2 screens away from me. So understandingly all the territories i had were 100% under my control,

The only enemy i knen was the AI on the northern part of my Continent.

However. After i've established a treaty with him that allowed us to trade resources he immediately created trade routes to my territory.

I have NOT bought anything from his empire as seen on the above screenshot.

After the treaty was signed and his trades commenced suddenly the influence in my city on the left was crushed by his.

Every source i found has stated that it is the IMPORTING party that has the influence spread to them buffed, and NOT the EXPORTING party.

In this situation i'm basically getting ifluenced by his territories as if they were next to me, which i think is the mechanic with harbors and trades but isn't it supposed to be only from the seller to the buyer?

In the above Screenshot there is 38 influence coming to me from him "from other territories" while he has 47 total in the territory this trade route is connected to.

Am i missing something that makes his influence to me so high? Or is the trade actually working both ways even though it's only him thats buying?

Where do you get your sources ?

For me, it should always work both side in Humankind with the creation of a trade route.

Regards,
Elphy
