Another one - I hope this helps!  My symptoms -- after pressing Start, loading screen appears, gets to about 90% and then hangs there.

Machine is pretty old - windows 8, 8GB RAM, Dell Inspiron 15R

I have tried:

Making sure display drivers are up to date

Launching as Admin from the install directory (rather than launching from steam)

Uninstall and Reinstall

Uninstall, Reinstall, Verify installation files

I'm out of ideas -- anything else i can try?

I'm WinterRose's husband - we also tried completely turning off all anti-virus.  No change.

I just started playing yesterday. I played it straight for like 10 hours and then it crashed on me when going to a save menu. I tried restarting but it won't let me sign into my account - as in the box pops up but it won't allow me to type In the email or password box. It won't let me select skip either, but the tooltip does pop up if I hover. 

I've tried restarting several times, time thing each time. I tried typing random keys and key combos and it crashed my system.  So it's clearly getting hung up by the time the sign in box pops up.

My system specs:

5K 2020 iMac i7 3.8GHz

128GB RAM

Radeon Pro 5700XT w/ 16GB GDDR6

Running Win10 with Bootcamp on SSD
