I'm trying to test Victor but every turn I have at least one crash to desktop, sometimes it takes several restarts just to pass 1 turn. Usually is shown same Unity error but sometimes game freezes for few seconds and then CTD. I didn't found any pattern if it's related to any specific in-game activity. Few times this Unity error even appears during loading saved game.

Hello!

Could you attach a save that you've encountered this crash with?

Save files by default are located: Users\[user]\Documents\Humankind\Save Files

Thank you!

Game 3.ctr

Game 5.ctr

Actually I encounter crashes with every game that I started. I enlosed 2 sample save files, however I'm not sure if game file is corrupted.

What I observed today - when I start game first time after swithcing on my PC I can play few turns normally. When I will got first crash and restart game It keeps crashing very often. If I will  restart PC then again I can play few games until first crash.

It reminds me silmilar issue that I had few years ago with different game beta testing. Problem was incorrect (or corrupted) Visual Studio C++ Redistributables package - game installer was checking only if this software is installed on PC but wasn't checking if it works correctly. Maybe here is similar issue - game crash because problem with / .dll / external softwre instalation / any other software or driver problem.

I have the same issue. Crashing every few turns, becoming more and more often as I progress in the game.

Same here. Further you go, more crashes you get. Doesn't matter which nations you play or actions you take. It can crash even if you let it be for few minutes.

Edit:

The last one caused my pc to freeze.

Small update about situation with crashes.

First I reinstaled GPU driver and audio driver but it doesn't help much. Then I realized strange bug (?) that when I was loading saved game it was always using game setting using during creation scenario. Because I was anyway tired with changing some settings I started new game with:

- activated auto-saves OFF

- activate narrator OFF

- tutorial OFF

- video quality level FASTEST.

I dunno which setting was most helpful but number of crashes significantly goes down. Sometimes I was even able to play several turns without crash and finally manged to complete scenario on civilization difficulty with 4,6k points on turn 145.

Cant test it now ofc, but recently I had this problem with other games on unity and I fixed it.

Had a lot of msft visual c++(like 2010, 2012 etc) and I deleted most of them. I guess we only need one of those.

Reinstalling windows and lunching game on fresh system would work in this case too.

I realized that I have wome crashing issues with other games so I started to digging deeper. I didn't found any driver issues so I started to checking for hardware problems, First I started with MEM check but no errors reported. Then I though that power supplier could cause some problems if it spikes/drops voltage (it have 8 years) so I decided to exchange it for something more quiet anyway. Just after replacing I went to BIOS to tweak fans settings and quickly look at memory settings to be absolutly sure that everything is ok. Then I realized that XMP profile for my memory is set for 1.35V (RAM is DDR3L) but in theory my processor should only manage 'normal' 1,5V RAM so changed to different XMP @ 1,5V.

Started to testing other games after both changes and so far everything works stable as a rock. Yeah, not possible to test Humanknid right now but I think that this will work also.
