I was vassalized by an opponent when they forced my surrender, but when this happened I was already at war with a different opponent. Now with this opponent the diplomacy screen lists our status as peace but I can't reject their demands and I can move into their territory attack, and even occupied one of their cities as you would in a regular war. But their war support isn't going down from battles and there is no peace deal screen.
