As the title says. cant select the army, cant end turn. trying to select it via selecting another army and clicking next, leaves the details of the previous army highlighted until passing to the army that cant be selected.
I had this bug previously, and loading an autosave of previous turn, and doing the same turn, reproduces the same bug.
This was the second time within 10 turns I get this bug. As it was the second time on the same playthrough to get this bug, it makes it too much of a hassle playing the beta, given loading times with a slow pc.
I'm attaching a save file of what i believe to be the same bug (highest difficulty, "Humankind" level, turn 86, Medieval, Umayyads).
Context:
The save file contains the following six units:
Mercenaries 1/6 (1 chariot and 1 archer)
Mercenaries 2/6 (1 chariot, wounded, lost the second chariot in a battle just before)
Regiment 3/6 (4 javelineers)
Regiment 4/6 (1 scout rider)
Mercenaries 5/6 (3 chariots)
Mercenaries 6/6 (2 chariots and 2 warriors)
Steps to reproduce:
1. Load the save file.
2. In the top right corner of the screen, click on the unit list icon.
3. In the "All military forces" list, click the "magnifying glass" icon of the topmost unit. The map centers on it.
4. Click on that unit, one hex west of the city Dimasq (the unit containing two regiments).
5. In the window with the title line "Mercenaries 1/6" click on the ">" (right arrow) near the top right corner.
6. The map centers on the unit "Mercenaries 2/6 (1 chariot, wounded, lost the second chariot in a battle just before)", but the unit window remains unchanged an still reads "Mercenaries 1/6". Consequently, no commands can be given to "Mercenaries 2/6". The keyboard shortcuts "/" and "." also have no effect at this point.
7. Click on the ">" (right arrow) once again. The unit window now shows "Regiment 3/6", which works as usual.
8. Click on "<" (left arrow). The map centers on "Mercenaries 2/6", but the unit window still say "Regiment 3/6".
Reproducibility: 5/5, consistently happens with the attached save file and the steps detailed above
Expected behavior:
Steps 5 and 8 ought to change the content of the unit window to "Mercenaries 2/6".
1) Clicking on the "1 Idle Army" icon in the bottom right corner of the screen has the same effect as steps 5 and 8. It centers on "Mercenary 2/6" but continues to show whetever unit window was active before.
2) Workaround: Game Menu >> Settings >> UI >> Enable Mandatories >> OFF
After that, i can end the turn. The broken unit "Mercenaries 2" gets attacked but the Huns. Even without entering any of the battles, cycling through the unit lists works again, even to the unit that was broken the turn before. The unit list now shows "Mercenaries 2/7 Locked by battle". The "7" is caused by one of the cities building another unit. If i open the battle and click "RETREAT", "Mercenaries 2/7" continues to work as usual.
That means: ending the turn using the workaround completely resolves the issue.
Still, this feels like a rather severe bug to me. It is not a total show-stopper, the game can be continued, but having to disable mandatories is a substantial loss of game functionality.
I have also experienced this bug. It's too late here now but tomorrow I will post more detailed screenshots, save files, etc.
The day I posted this, I thought I was able to reproduce the bug from the autosave of the previous turn. But sadly I can't do that today. The most likely explanation is that I was mistaken when I posted before; apologies.

Similar thing happened to me a few times with Independent cities - it refused to show me the actual Patronage values and controls of the selected Independent city, instead showing me values of a different one.
