I know the avatar appearance not matching after reloading game is a known bug, but maybe as a useful data point, what happend to me is I unlocked another streamer after the last time I played. Once I loaded into the game, the existing streamer avatar in the game (Quill18) got replaced with the one I just unlocked. Perhaps the avatars are indexed in some way, where the index into the list of available avatars changed when new avatars were unlocked, thus losing track of which was which.
