At the start of a new game, I'm unable to choose an era. After earning any Era Stars, I can't choose any era, as the "Adopt" Button is grey'ed out.

I've tried restarting the game, reinstalling the game, and creating a new game to no avail. 

Expected Behavior: I'd be able to chose a culture and progress in the game.
