Yes, the same thing happens with better settings. Right now my game is on the lowest quality level "Fastest" and the performance doesn't differ from the highest quality level to the lowest.

I have RX 5700 XT and in main menu, with frames locked to 60, the game is using about 40-60% (something around 50%) of GPU on Good quality level. With Fantastic setting it goes up to 90% (In main menu with 60FPS lock)

Well I fixed my problem with the gpu usage just by capping the fps limit to 30. But I guess now my biggest issue isnt the game taking 100% of my gpu (after capping fps its 30% of my gpu), now I have frequent crashes which is great >:). 

Usually a 4X game does not take much graphic resource.

To be honest, the GPU usage of this game is much far beyond my forecast.

I think more optimization should be done for this game.

It's said Minimum is GTX770 and Recommendation is GTX1060 or over. 

At least, if I'm using recommendation VGA(GTX1060), I should have been able to run under 50% usage. with Good option + 30 fps.

But I'm running Fast option + 20 fps + more NVDIA setting. (almost lowest option)

Yeah, I have an overclocked 3080 Ti and this game uses more GPU resources than pretty much any other game i've played. At 3440x1440 with Fantastic settings I peak at around 109FPS in-game, which doesn't even meet my monitor's refresh rate. That's less FPS than I get in Total War: Warhammer 2 with everything maxed out at Ultra and an in a huge battle. Seems very poorly optimised.

Also facing performance issues, GPU usage at 90% on 'Simple'.

1060 3GB, 16gb ram and i5-8400

I have the same problem. My GPU usage at 100% only in the "main menu".

GTX 1060 6GB, i7-4790K 4,00GHz and 16 GB Ram.

Is there any progress or patch or anything?

I am a newcomer, just started to play few days ago but this heavy GPU is extreme.

Above 90% all the time, GeForce RTX 2060 Super 8GB, i5-6500 3.20GHz, 16 GB DDR4, 3840x2160.

I don't think my video card is a low end one, so what can I do.

Any idea welcome!
