I also started getting graphical glitches after the latest update. The game is literally unplayable. Game loads normally at start but I start getting weird "explosion" glitches until the game just freezes after about a minute.

I find half-solution - win war. fireworks refreshing textures in my empire. also rebuild hex or free the district

I had this exact same problem. Reinstalling the game didn't work and neither of the beta versions did either. I got Nvidia GeForce 920M so it's also an older and a bit weaker (laptop) card. Everything else works (game menu, other video games) fine.

I'm playing on a desktop with a GTX1660 Super 3Gb and am also getting graphic bugs, half the units appear white and half don't show up at all. yields show at random.

Hey mate, I am getting the same thing occur after the latest update.

Mine occurs during single or multiplayer and the game is unplayable now.

In my game, I had this as well, after just loading a save.  For me, the bug was because of the "Celebrating, 3 Turns left" temporary effect, where districts launch confetti and such.  After the 3 turns expired the cities drew normally.

+1 to the grayed out quarters after the update.

Same problem on an older laptop graphics card (NVIDIA GEForce 755m. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling and verifying game files, still persists on new game start. Trees going to space is a good description, although I also had the sense the vengeful gods were nuking me right at the start of the Neolithic Era rather than allowing me to be unleashed upon the world:

I experienced many bugs in this game but not THAT xD, I'm also using Nvidia for my games, but an RTX 2060 Super, maybe it was a driver issue ?

Well, last update (7.9.) seems to have improved it a little bit, no longer the game crashes before I end first turn.

Quality of life of my neolithic people was improved as well, for they have modern houses now. Or at least pieces of them. Flying around.

Maybe they were sent flying by the explosions I did not manage to capture in the screenshot.

Weird thing is, sound effects trigger with all this. Explosions, crackling... so doesn't sound like a purely graphic glitch?

Could this be looked into, please?

Same for me, first the game kept crashing, force-vulkan helped but didnt sort it out completely, if i didnt touch the avatar on fresh boot it worked well, did a new game, first the harbors wouldn't show, went up to turn 388 now cities and administrative centres dont show on the screen anymore, game killed. Feels like a beta test this game

@QenRae  and @Senesthya , has a resolution been discovered for this issue? I just downloaded the demo to see if the game would work on my laptop (rather old but can usually handle games at a low enough resolution), and the same thing happened to me, I started the game (demo in my case), moved one hex and everything exploded, hexes and targets started appearing everywhere as your screenshot shows. Then it frozen my computer, and I didn't think to take a screenshot unfortunately before then. Just wondering if you got it to work since your post was from 3 months ago?

Hi, sorry for the late reply on this... in short, my laptop graphic card got fried some 2 months ago and I got a whole new computer.

Since then it works...
