Problem Summary: 

Locked out of multiplayer - when I open the multiplayer menu after a small pause, I get the message “Connection Timeout”, weirdly after that I can then click new game and access the game setup menu but from there I can’t add anyone or do anything, then shortly after that I get a message saying “Disconnected” At any point I can still access the G2G system and browse and add mods

Solutions tried: 

• Uninstall and reinstall (I have also completely reinstalled my OS due to getting a new main drive)
• File verification via steam
• Disabling cloud saves
• Version rollback
• Disabled windows and router firewall
• Being invited to the game via Steam, I get the invite in the chat system but there is no “Join game” button
• Network reset and using wired and wireless networks.
• Setting my computer to a fixed IP address

Notes: 

When I can access the new game menu, I notice that the lobby ID at the top of the page has crossplay at the end of it but when someone sends me an ID to join I don’t see that

Update – With the help of someone on Discord (shout out to @komodowaran#1728!) the problem has been nailed down to the Amplitude servers no longer accepting a handshake from my 5G router (IP6) but using a VPN programme (https://tinyurl.com/5n78e243) has fixed the issue. Hopefully, this will be patched out in the future!

Any long term solution for this issue? I started experiencing it today. VPN does resolve temporarily.
