When trying to start a game, the loading screen appears and loads the game.

After some time, the narrator from the intro video can be heard and it is possible to skip the video via mouse click to get to the game. Clicking somewhere with the mouse seems to do something, as the select unit (etc.) sounds can be heard.

However, it is not possible to see anything, as the loading screen is still being displayed, with the progress bar rapidly alternating between showing a progress of about 60% to 65%.

On logs, I was unable to find any. The directory "~/Library/Logs/Amplitude Studios" does not exist on my mac.

Same exact problem for me!  It's been over a year since purchasing Humankind, and regardless of the patches and updates to MacOS, I'm still disappointed that this issue hasn't been addressed.

Dual Graphics Card (Have tried turning graphics card switching on and off in energy saver, doesn't help):

Even worse, if I'm running anything else while trying to start a new game, it causes a kernel panic and I get the "black screen of death" for macs and have to power cycle my macbook pro!
