Game stuck in loading Screen when launching. Endless Hourglass after latest Update

Error.zipAfter the latest Update (15.12.22) i am not able to start the game. It gets frozen on a black screen with an hourglass symbol as my cursor. i tried reinstalling, updating drivers and starting as administrator.

Exactly the same problem here. Diagnostic file:

Reintalling Humankind and the epic game launcher didn't help.

I'm also experiencing this issue [PC/Epic Hg_Xp1-Patch4_1.20.3629+9b4b7a213] and have included [DxDiag & Diagnostics.zip], as it is presumably hardware dependant, and some additional observations:

After launching the game screen is black, however there is brief audio (presumably from an unseen video) and the pointer mouse cursor appears. This can be skipped with a mouse click.
The screen remains black, but the mouse cursor changes to a timer. There is intermittent hard drive access and CPU/GPU usage. This state persists indefinitely.

Resolved by rollback to hotfix2 (https://www.games2gether.com/amplitude-studios/humankind/forums/215-bug-reports/threads/51192-game-stuck-in-loading-screen-when-launching-endless-hourglass-after-latest-update?page=1#post-365747).

Hi all,

Thanks a lot for the reports.

It appears that we indeed have a critical issue on EGS, linked to authentication. We are rolling back to hotfix2 while we find a fix.

We'll keep you posted.

You have the same excact errors in the diagnostic file as me.

I wish i had bought this fcking game on the steam market. Now i cant even return to the last patch..

Game stuck in loading Screen when launching. Endless Hourglass after latest Update!

Anyone? WILL not load. Game stuck in loading Screen when launching. When using EPIC games launcher it reports a ERROR CODE: LS-0013 {epic game store client}.

Reinstalled 5 TIMES! spent HOURS upon HOURS trying EVERY fix listed on the internet. EPIC won't refund my original purchase from yesterday..

IS there a fix for this? Or am I just out money?Diagnostics (2022'12'16 @1832'18''572''').zip
