1. When you are about to move your forces someplace, now, with the new update, the game is just centering the city that, say, has its population increased or decreased. Of course, it's an important event, but... IDK, is it possible to show it, like, IDK, at the start of the turn, or maybe when you are done with moving your forces, managing which city should build what, or what else... IDK, there are options, IDK why you chose to force to show it RIGHT AT THE TIME I AM ABOUT TO MOVE MY FORCES! It distracts from the gameplay and I have to hover the mouse back to my army and sometimes I may just waste a turn that way, because what if I changed my mind and want to move that tank (for example) somewhere in a different spot? Ever thought about it?
2. This one is heavily dependent on the 1st one. When I'm moving my forces to attack the enemy forces, and the game stupidly switches to an "important event"... I mean, I realize losing a population is very important to know about, but.. IDK... maybe a war is a bit more important than losing just one guy, when I can lose, say, at least 3 population worth of tank?
3. The battle screen. I mean, the one that shows the stats after the fight, the small window. It covers the forces, and so I may skip one enemy or not see my army, and so let the enemy utilize more forces, when I could just finish his army off with that one shot that the battle screen is covering! I believe it was a bit better before the update...
4. Sometimes the hints cover the events, and so it's impossible to see what event is going on. Like, of course, you may be able to read it, but... not always understand, if this makes sense.
5. Not really a bug, but still, needs a work. Sometimes in the later stages of the game, it's hard to see whether the cell is occupied with districts or not. It looks more like a dirt, and not the actual buildings. I mean, I understand it may be hard to show all the buildings and stuff, especially when you want to build something. Like, yeah, you can activate to show the districts with just a click of a button, but... I just stupidly want to play, not learn everything about the game until I become an expert. I just want to enjoy the gameplay, I want to... IDK, conquer the game world, for example (not really, but still... I want to just play) and so I want to be able to see whether the cell is occupied or not. If it is, I may not want to build a new district on it.
6. The game recommends to build a certain district on a certain cell. However, later in the game, when you merge the cities and stuff and stuff, sometimes it doesn't. It may recommend you the cells again after you finish your current turn, but then again, it may show a cell or two, and that's it. I want to know which cell is best to build a certain district on, or do you expect me to look for it myself? Like, right now, I have a map with 4 continents, and one city spanning across 2 of them. Do you still expect me to look for the best cell for the district myself?! I'm currently on turn 1023, trying to capture the entire land, and I want to have a good stability with enough food. It's hard, and I realize that. However, I need to know where to put the districts, but it's taking forever to scroll through the half of the map, just to find the best spot. And sometimes it's just not telling me where to find it! I understand I may build it wherever I like, but I want to utilize the best cells for the best districts, if that makes sense.
I'm sure there are many more bugs/things that need to be worked on, but... fix these at least for starters

Sorry for a late reply, but my point is that the update ruined the entire gameplay, basically. If I had to learn everything by myself the first time I played, now I have to learn everything again. Although I just want to play. And since I have the game in Steam, there's no way for me to get the old version back. So I gave them the negative review and everything, but overall, most players should give it a negative review in order for Sega to pay at least some attention to it...

We can confirm that these things are by design and not an issue. The issue from your 6th point is by design as well. If there isn't a big difference in value of resource gain across the tiles, no best placement preview is given. Hope that helps!
