  • Description:

After geting the first star in neolitic era and trying to pick the first culture, the menu happens to be empty, so I can't choose any culture and evolve, making the game unplayable.

Hey, I was about to post the same thing. Latest update. I've tried a fresh install of the game. I've tried both NVIDIA drivers of 531.61 and 531.58. 5800X3D + EVGA 3080 10GB. Anyone have any ideas to try? Thanks

Just saw this is a known bug already (Impossible to choose first culture before AI at blitz speed). For reference, i play on Slow Speed so it's not just Blitz speed. Thanks

Hello!

Unfortunatly, we can't reproduce the issue on our side yet. You files @kodachrome been sent to the des team to be investigate. If anyone else encounter the same issue, please send us the following files:

- Your last two auto-saves, and any other saves you think may help show the problem. Your saves are by default located:

o PC: \Users\[username]\Documents\Humankind\Save Files

o Mac: This is hidden in the Libraries folder. You will need to do an internet search to find specific steps for your OS. Once the libraries folder is revealed, they are in /library/ application support/humankind/Save Files

- Your diagnostics logs. These are time stamped, and any time you close and relaunch the game, new ones are started. Please grab all diagnostics logs related to the session you were playing where the issue occurred. These are by default located:

o PC: \Users\[username]\Documents\Humankind\Temporary Files

o Mac: This is hidden in the Libraries folder. You will need to do an internet search to find specific steps for your OS. Once the libraries folder is revealed, they are in user/library/ application support/humankind/Temporary Files

- An output log. These can be found here:

o PC: This folder is hidden by default. You will need to reveal hidden folders (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files-0320fe58-0117-fd59-6851-9b7f9840fdb2 ) then navigate to: Users\[username]\AppData\LocalLow\AMPLITUDE Studios\Humankind

o Mac: This is hidden in the Libraries folder. You will need to do an internet search to find specific steps for your OS. Once the libraries folder is revealed, they are in user/library/logs/amplitude studios/humankind

Hi!
Looking at the logs, I see a few errors coming from "Gedemon" which seems to be an "external" code base.

Do you have some sort of mod installed for the world generation? if yes, could you please try without it?

Thanks!

(edit: hum it's perhaps just log using the error flag to be easily spotted by the mod owner, but still... As far as I understand the error which prevent our screen to display the card, there is probably a mismatch between the current version and the mod dlls ones)

Hey @ThorTillas, I had noticed that as well. I don't have any mods installed right now though. But i am going to uninstall and delete all the remaining folders associated with Humankind and try again. Thanks for the heads up. Must be something leftover from when i tried a mod months ago. I will update you if it works.

FIXED  (sorry about wasting your time guys)

It was something to do with a mod that was previously installed. What i did to fix it:

1, uninstall Humankind from Steam (this is most likely not necessary)

2. delete folder C:\Users\MYNAME\Documents\Humankind

3. delete folder C:\Users\MYNAME\AppData\LocalLow\AMPLITUDE Studios

Hey, I did have a mod, but it was uninstalled so I tried to uninstall game and:

2. delete folder C:\Users\MYNAME\Documents\Humankind

3. delete folder C:\Users\MYNAME\AppData\LocalLow\AMPLITUDE Studios

Then installed the game from new, so I lost my avatar and all saved data but... still have the same issue... (and not in Blitz speed, in normal speed).

I saw that i still have the same error that refers to Gedemon Mod, but i don't know how can I uninstall this? I don't even see this mod in the game.

So any other guess on how I could solve this?

SOLVED!

I had to uninstall Humankind + Steam and reinstall all. Finally the mod is gone and I can play.

Thanks both of you for the help.

If you have uploaded the avatar from ingame, you can also download it again. You need to be logged to amplifier ingame for this work though.
