Was playing very aggressively towards the Makeda AI player (Scots) and the same turn as I advanced to Industrial Era as the Russians she declared an unsanctioned war on me. That also seemed to trigger the "A Harsh and Distant Front" narrative event. The "Endure" (collectivism) choice was difficult to interpret (pic attached). At the least it's a typo, but the version in the encyclopedia entry (A Harsh and Distant Front - Humankind Encyclopedia) seems to indicate the effect should be targeting *me* rather than my opponent.
