First off apologies if I'm posting this on the wrong part of the forum (if I needed to post this on the Console sub-forum, then I'll go ahead and do that if told). Without further ado, here are some bugs that i found/noticed while playing Humankind on console (on the PS5).
1. Trophies not unlocking when completing: Omnist, King of Kings, Big Red Button Masher.
Steps to follow for Omnist: play the game as usual and adopt three religions in the same game. When I did this on the ps5 console version of Humankind, I to adopted two other religions after my first chosen one and the trophy didn't unlock. Maybe it's just me that's not understanding how the trophy unlock works, but if I have to choose my first religion then three others than what I'm doing (first religion then two others), then that may be it. Apologies if I'm doing it wrong, if I am, then ignore this one.
For King of Kings, I vassalized every other empire in two of my games, and the trophy unlock didn't happen. So for the steps, just play the game as usual, set the endgame condition to "vassalize all other empires" and see if it works for you. Again, may just be happening to me, but if others have dealt with this, then I apologize for a repeat bug report on this.
For Big Red Button Masher, step wise just play the game as usual and unlock nuclear weapons through the nuclear civic and send nukes to 3 empires cities. I got this trophy on the PC version of Humankind when I nuked at least one city of 3 empires, but on the PS5 version of Humankind, I did the same and did not unlock it. Again, apologies if this is a repeat bug report.
Now for choice civics: when in the neolithic era and you kill a certain number of deer/mammoth/bear, you'll get a civic choice (or whatever it's called) which one of the options gives you +10 influence when choosing "mammoth." After you choose Mammoth and close out the menu, the cursor (not really a cursor on the console, but I'm just calling it that) erratically moves to a different area of the map so quickly that you have to either manually return it back (if you wanted to), or wait till the next turn to where you press square on the ps5 controller to bring the cursor back to the tribe unit. So step wise, just play and kill deer/mammoth/bears until you get that choice civic and click on mammoth that gives +10 influence and you'll see the cursor jerk erratically away from the tribe unit.
Lastly, onto playstation trophies themselves not unlocking. The trophies that are bugged are: Wonder-Full, Polymath, Landstalker, and Nerdopolis.
These trophies are in-game trophies too, and that I've already unlocked them. It's just that the same trophies when shown on the PS5 trophie display of the game shows that I didn't unlock them. For all of those trophies, it shows "0.0% of players earned (said trophy)," when in reality most players have gotten those trophies unlocked in the game, just that it is not working when on the trophy display menu for Humankind on console (PS5 for me). Step wise, play the game on console to where you unlock these same trophies in-game, then check and see if the PS5 displays it as such also. Apologies if this sounds really vague, but I hope I gave at least a bit of distinction from in-game trophy display and console trophy display.
Lastly, apologies again if I posted this in the wrong part of the forums, and also with me not having provided any attachments to prove that these bugs are visible. Also, if these are repeat bug reports, again apologies on that. Hopefully with what I said, it gave a good enough picture of what I tried to convey. But yeah, just wanted to get these in the spotlight (if they haven't already), and that all of these bug reports listed above are on the PS5 console version of Humankind. Don't know if it affects the XBOX version.
Thanks for your understanding,
EvanEl
(I play Humankind on PC too if you needed to know).
