hello 

my problem was a few days ago after playing the game for a few weeks every time i try to open it say opening the game but nothing and then it give me this message.

Currently Intel cards are not supported


You can try to update your Intel video drivers from intel directly, however there's no guarantee it will work even with the latest drivers.

Note this is the Endless Space 2 forum. It appears you are having issues iwth the original game on Mac

Extra info: I can run all other Amplitude games from about medium to high graphics.


Note the game currently does not support Intel based cards as per the system requirements


You can try to run the latest drivers from Intel.com but YMMV

I'm seeing the FFMPEG module is crashing the game it looks like

Try the '-novideo' launch option to bypass the movies which may help with the ffmpeg crashing issues


Also you could try uninstalling ffmpeg and see if that helps too

Every time the game crashes and I validate the integrity of the files it has to reacquire the file that is 1.7Kb.


Drivers are up to date (via nvidia geforce experience)

I have forced the graphics card to manage Endless Space 2

I have run the installers in commonRedist folder

I have run steam in admin mode (still seems to be a privilege problem since the game can't write the crash dump files)

Read the entire thread a few times (and also the common issues) so I am posting here now.




Your video drivers are from 2013. The latest Nvidia drivers for the GTX570 are from Oct 28 2016. I'd wager your video drivers and the GeForce experience are corrupted if it cant find newer drivers


You should manually do a Clean Install of the latest nvidia drivers. Download them directly from nvidia.com. Also try reinstalling GeForce Experience because its not reporting the drivers correctly

Thanks for lending me your sharp eye! The drivers were indeed not up to date. I am somewhat angry at NVIDIA since I could have been playing this weekend!


Now able to play the game (although will have to read the manual).


Could you please delete the posts containing the DXDiag (I don't like my computer info just being there in a forum).

Crash with Update 1. On Start a new game I see loading the game and after some seconds (maybe when enter the game) it crashes to desktop. all set to random, 


Galaxy: Twin Ellip. / Size: Med / Age: Random / NumOfConst: Few

Competit. 4 / Spd: Normal / Diff. Easy / Allow Custom: Yes

Session mode: Single


Competitors races were all random. (Yep, i like suprises :D)


The Race at this time was vodyani.

No, until the update everything run fine. Second try to start a game was successful. But I will check the game cache when I'm home.

You seem to be on a laptop which boots the game with a (very old) graphic chipset. Does your laptop have a dedicated graphic card? If you're not sure, please share a DXDiag with us and we'll be able to tell for sure.

Having Issues during Tund 100+. Game Keeps pending after end of turn. Most common Solution this fast is eighter manual safe or restart the game. Saving solution need to be repeated every turn, restart the game or even the computer does help a few turns but still the pending issue returns past some turns. 


Today i encountered a new issue. I cant start fights with the "View fight" mode. Game keeps locked at 99% loading screen. Prozessoroutput increases to 90% and ram usage increses to 5 GB.

Yes, i noticed the issue a few turns before this savegame. I endured it because i wanted to do some more turn. Wanted to see my fully upgraded ships in battle, turned out i could not :(
