This is a lot harder than it sounds btw. The UI is bitmap based, not vectorised.

If the pics are really BITMAP and not VECTORZ it should be the Graphical Team instead smiley: wink

Okay guys, seems like im the only one here with a Laptop, 16:9 ratio, 1366 x 768 - well i don't need my game UI to be bigger, as i posted earlier - but i support your cause!

Good luck and (still) have fun with ES! smiley: biggrin

It would be a useful feature. However, I'm playing on a 24"16:10 LED LCD screen at 1920x1200 (Dell UltraSharp U2412M) and the font size is fine. My impression is that 2560x1440 resolution usually isn't available unless you have at least a 27" monitor.

Have you considered creating a batch file that calls a freeware utility like DisplayChanger to change the resolution of the program? The example they give is dc.exe -width=640 -height=480 -refresh=60 C:\Program Files\DVD Maker\DVDMaker.exe to run DVDMaker at 640x480. When closed, you'd return to your normal resolution. Once you know that works I suspect you could get away with modifying your existing ES shortcut instead.

See http://superuser.com/questions/89302/any-way-of-changing-windows-7-screen-resolution-via-command-line for some other possibilities.

That's true, BUT we can't forget that some people with lower resolution then us find the UI being to small, so it is not only a 2560x1440 issue. smiley: smile

I run my games at 1900x1200 and find the user interface in ES being way too small.

Please try to understand one thing. For people running the game up to 1920x1200 this future MAYBE is just a matter of convenience and personal taste, but for us with high resolution displays (2560x1440) it's either about enjoying the game with bigger UI or quiting because of the headaches.

This clearly is a problem as i see this thread allready has 400 views, i have only 1440 x 900 res myself and still find the UI text a bit to small without it being a big problem though.

But there are one thing i don`t understand. If u have a resolution of 2560x1440 it means you have an aspect ratio of 16:9, the same as for instance 1920x1080 or 1280x720 would also fit your screen. Why can`t you just scale it down?

You never scaled down your desktop resolution for a game, did you?

I know what you mean, but it isn't that easy. Due to interpolation, when you scale down from your screens native resolution the image becomes blurry and this together with already small UI makes the game very hard to play. HERE is a short wikipedia article explaining this far better then I can. smiley: smile
