I know it's not a priority now, but I wish they will agree to add the ship designs and special heroes for the winners later (even much later).

For example, I really would like to see the Fal'hadei ships supposed to be all flat

Or the organic Eaters of the dead parazited ships.

Or mine, picturing Atron the Cruel Star

Before I begin I just want to be clear, I'm not trying to sound hostile or entitled, but rather aim to be direct instead of beating around the bush.

NOTE: The entirety of the following is based on the plan to implement the Automatons as a custom faction as opposed to a full featured faction like one of the original eight. If I have misunderstood and the plan is actually to make the Automatons a full faction that can't simply be replicated in the in-game editor, then disregard the rest of this post.

So I voted for the Automatons and eventually they won. However, the faction envisioned by Panzer is NOTHING like what it will be as a simple custom faction. With the limited tools of the custom faction creator, I fail to see how this competition amounted to anything. If I really want to I can go and manually add all the custom factions people detailed in these forums to my game... Winning this competition ultimately is meaningless to anyone except the winner as a minor ego boost in that his/her name will be in every game. =/ However, this doesn't have to be the case.

I don't feel Amplitude owes it to anyone to add anymore factions, in fact, I love how active Amplitude is in continuing to add new content to the game through G2G. Rather, my point for this post is that I'd rather Amplitude take their time in developing a complete version of the Automatons rather than just throwing in a custom faction anyone could add to their game on their own. It's fine if it takes a long time to do it, just do it right =) Custom ships designs, heroes, faction picture, and MOST IMPORTANTLY the faction's exterior traits that can't simply be added in the in-game editor (like the whole dust platform mechanic for example among other features).

Once again I'd like to thank Amplitude for their continued efforts at supporting and adding to this game as well as closely listening to user feedback and suggestions!
