Hi everyone. I'm trying to find some info about Mac OS version of Endless Space, but without any success. Is it even in dev plans? And if so, when it'll be released?

The answer to both questions is 'research'.

The left-hand tree contains academy upgrades, and the tonnage increases (both passive and modules) are in the right-hand tree.

The title says it all - how in the heck do I remove a ship from the a construction que? Tech I can get rid of, but ships are hell-bent on getting themselves built. I can't pull them out of the line.

You click on them in the production queue. Just don't accidentally click the purchase icon by mistake.

Hello...was just wondering if its generally desirable to terraform all planets to a specific type, and what type it would be? Terran? TIA...

Jungle for Industry, Terran for Dust, Ocean for Science... you probably want to pick a mix for your planets as specializing all in one type might leave you a little lacking in other areas.

They have the highest overall FIDS output, and in the late game, they're overall the best at their specialties. They don't QUITE get the per-pop FIDS output as Lava, Arid, and Arctic, respectively, but the extra pop more than makes up for it.

Gas giants are no slouches either, so settle those too, but they don't match the output of a fully developed T1 world.

1) I still don't understand the Abundant Luxuries buyout bonus of -20%. Can someone explain?

2) The improvements for influences seems almost useless you're playing a strictly peaceful game and alien influence has taken over your colonies. Am I'm missing something? Why the AI waste so much time and dust building influence improvements on every planet they own.

3) I've read somewhere that terraforming is also also useless...since the only good terraforming research happens at late game, which by then a winner is fairly evident. Is there something I missing?

1) I'm not precisely sure what you're referring to here.

2) Influence is your controlled territory. No one else can settle planets inside your influence, other players cannot move to known planets inside your influence without having open borders, and scanning range comes with influence, allowing you to see more of what your opponents are doing.

3) Depends on how the game is going. Yes, often it's a 'win more' thing, and it takes a very long time for terraforming lava all the way to jungle to pay for itself. However, terraforming to Terran or Ocean for dust and tech, respectively, can and will seriously speed up your progression toward tech or economic wins, which can be a big help if things are still competitive. Remember, many players are going to stick to single player, and most of them are not going to be able to routinely stomp Endless difficulty.

Do fleet bonus modules stack with each other?

For example, the "Neutrino Capture" module gives an 8% bonus to all fleet defenses, while the "Accelerated Magnetics" module gives a 15% bonus to ship defenses.

Put simply, I'm wondering if having multiple Neutrino Captures (or other fleet boosting support modules) allows for their boosts to combine, and grant you a stronger fleet.

You can only have one power module (like Neutrino Capture et al) per ship, but yes, if they give a bonus to the fleet, then they stack. The most brutal purely offensive fleet in the game is a fleet of nothing but destroyers with a Neutrino Pulson (+12% fleet min and max damge), an extra-tonnage module, and a whole lot of the nastiest laser you can mount. Barring racial picks, you can have 22 of them in a fleet - that's a +264% bonus to every weapon in the fleet.

Just make sure you pick the one that increases FLEET stats. Some only affect the ship on which they're mounted.

Great to know, thanks. I always figured that having multiple fleet modules stacking would be a bit off balanced, but its nice to see something make smaller ship classes viable.

You have no idea....

There are quite a few people who live by the glass cannon destroyer swarm throughout the entire game.
