I feel like we should have more alien involvment tbh.

We are attempting to where we can :P This is a war between the United Universal Republic, and the United Empire. The UUR do have Amoeba and Sophons don't they? :P

But if you mean entire pages for the stuff they do, we will get to that, it's just we haven't had much time to put it in.

And we are nearing 4000, so don't worry, it's coming smiley: smile

OK, so lore here on the forum is hard to compile so I have made an idea board!

Post here your ideas and then we can collect them all in one place to discuss.

I thought this was meant to be the idea board haha. But I guess if anyone is shy, they can anonymously post ideas on there, lets hope that works for attracting smiley: smile

Endless Hero: Only known as Tephys, this hero was trained as an interrogator for the Sheredyn Military Police. An orphan and loner, for her the Sheredyn was the only sure thing in an untrustworthy universe. However, with the ascent of Emperor Zelevas and the sudden independence of the Sheredyn, Tephys's world destabilized. Turning assassin and infiltrator, she was captured by an unknown entity while trying to kidnap a Sophon scientist specializing in Endless technologies. Whatever happened that day, it caused her to leave the Sheredyn command structure and continue as an independent."

Straight from the Endless Space Wiki, maybe she'll make an appearance with the Zukrov rebellion?

ancient Empire text of San Tzo to the Way of the Hissho. LOL WHAT (Sophon hero)

how does the prospect of a terraforming ship sound?

ie something like this:

due to the necessity to populate more worlds at faster rates a ship with the intentions of speeding up ongoing terraforming was formed. 'Project Terra' had been designed by A Dr. Neive was in the crudest terms a ship arrayed with weapon modules refitted to regulate temperatures. However what can be used to heal, can be used to destroy.

Well, there's already terraforming technology, not sure what it's called in game, but it explains that it converts X planet type to X

it could be written as a tale of a UUR peaceproject , where the project-leader has gone rogue, and now threaten turning entire systems inhospitable, if his demands aren´t met

A space loony that will never get away with it but is causing massive problems for the UUR? Sounds interesting. We could make it just a prototype of the next gen of terraforming ships, that the guy stole for his own "reasons". What kind of demands is he making? Incoherent and impossible ("give me back my family!"), or unreasonable and ludicrous ("10 billion Dust units!!")?

Sounds good. I really like the Hissho. Maybe they could join the UUR out of honor? (or refuse to join for the same reason?)

Yea, I was thinking the same, why reasons does he have to turn rogue? It cant be the give him back his family, since I don't see a reason why they would hold his family captive and then give him that power :P

But how would it be used as a peace project? They'd only be terraforming their own planets, the UE would shoot them down if they get in range. And I kind of feel that shooting the ship down or even just capturing it won't be that hard XD. It's not a war ship smiley: stickouttongue

We're going to need some more info on the going rogue thing smiley: smile (or at least, I do)

I was thinking it was less a super-ship than simply a prototype of the next line of similar ships. It's top of the line but usually under proper command, and that's the reason I was asking what the "project-leader's" motivation is. Did he go space bonkers either on some weird drug, have his pay or job cut and drank himself crazy or did his wife leave him, or a personal friend or family member die, and he couldn't cope, and so went insane thinking the UUR is holding out on him?

Sort of a majority vote on what his motivation should be.

Maybe the terraforming device has some negative effects, like an unknown radiation emitting from the device itself causing unnatural thoughts and even the loss of sanity?

I was thinking that if it has devices meant to regulate temperatures on the planet, so that one may live on it, then it would also be able to do the opposite like turning a Terran Megacity into a Arctic desert.

On his motivation, it could be that an other civilisation is forcing his hand. As in that it could be that the UE has his family and threatens to kill them, if he doesn´t get the UUR to leave certain systems undefended or something similar to that.

You can make an arctic desert by causing a nuclear winter :P
