So from what I've heard, the next opendev is in around a day, (The Victor Opendev), what's gonna be new? What's going to be the the same? I think they might have the atomic era ready, right? You know what that means, we might get thermonuclear bombs in this opendev of the game! If not I'll be slightly disappointed, but hey, I guess at least they're planning on adding them eventually? well in any case I figured if people wanted to discuss the upcoming opendev, they could here. Update: The thing crashed twice, and was not very nice to my computer the third time, my computer is relatively fast, is anyone else having these issues?

The next OpenDevel covers the same 4 Eras as in Lucy OpenDew, but these Eras will be with a changed balance and mechanics.

I'm pretty optimistic for the new features in the opendev, hopefully my computer doesn't immediately make demonic noises when it loads though.

Didn't the dev team say they'd have an opendev in place of the original release date due to the delay? It'd be sorta sad if they didn't actually go through with that, but from what I can tell, the devs are doing the opendev on the 22nd of April (Tomorrow right?)

I'm right there with you, I'm super hyped to play this game again! I'm really looking forward to seeing all the progress, and changes they've made with the game.

I'm not sure when the OpenDev will be, I don't think they ever confirmed a specific date.

Here is the statement in the delay dev blog:

UPDATE: Our Studio Head Romain has confirmed that we are aiming to launch the next OpenDev around the original release date of April 22nd. We will release a blog with further details on when, where, and how to participate once the specifics have been settled.

I'm really really hoping they have it on the 22nd, but I personally have not seen that confirmed anywhere.

i just bought game couple days ago, originially for inital release but then I saw postponing message, so at least for opendev. Gonna take day or two off for it. I enjoyed my civ craving with Old World in past year, so yeah I am pretty excited for new approach towards the genre.

yep, so far no news about Open Dev from developers at all. It is highly likely opendev isn't happening tomorrow and there is a slim chance it might happen by the end of April.

If not, we won't have any OpenDev at all as developers simply won't have time to deal with the feedback.

I heard someone say the name of the original opendev changed.

It did change for a moment, in my Steam Library "Lucy OpenDev" was temporarily renamed to "Victor OpenDev" (can't remember the date) but it's back to Lucy now.

They promised they will try to have an openDev around the initial (second initial, i remember the real iniital iin summer beofre covid happened) date, so around the 22/04

They're apology vid on Youtube should clear it up, they talk a lot about the next opendev.
