Steam Deck cannot download profiles from Amplifiers account

Hello everyone,


I'm posting here because I didn’t receive assistance in the bug reports section, and perhaps someone else has experienced the same issue. I play Humankind on both PC and Steam Deck.

On PC, I have no problem logging into my Amplifiers account and uploading my profile. However, the issue arises when I return to my Steam Deck. After logging into my account, I get an error message saying "WebException." I’ve reinstalled the game, but it didn’t fix the problem. On the other hand, Steam Cloud sync for saved games works perfectly.


Thank you, and I hope to resolve the issue soon since I want to continue progressing on my Steam Deck.

Same here, but im having issues when transferrring profile uploaded on steamdeck to my PC, also steam cloud saves work without any problem.

Thanks! Someone wih the same problem. I hope this will get more visibility... I cannot understand that this is the only way to get support and there was no answer from the team in two weeks.
I order to add more info. I also delte all the proton files in order to do a real fresh install from the devs options... Still not working.
I think this is a really important feature specially in the Deck-PC environment.
The only thing that I am pending of testing is istalling on the Windows 11 partition in my deck, but I will need to delete some staff and at the moment with this problem I am getting unmotivated with the game...

I will continue with my monolge after 2 weeks without any feedback. I have installed again Humankind in my Steam Deck but this time in my Windows 11 partition. The same is exactly the same. After login properly in my Amplifiers account I am getting when I try to download my profile from the cloud "WebExeption" error.
I feel extreamly sad with the provided customer service (I mena... or 100% absent). I am owner of all the Amplitud games. I rebuy in Steam Humankind to play either in my PC an portable. A key functionality is just not working and I did not get any feedback either in the official Discord or following the protocol reporting the bug.
This is really bad and not really serious. And I really want to move in a positive constructive way.

Hey all,


I've just created this bug report on the issue. I found it has to do with the folder structure of the game running in a wine container. As outlined in the report itself, I created the folder it errored on and I goes through the process just fine; my ruler shows up with all the customizations and everything; however my save games are still missing. I will dig into this issue a little more tonight, when I get home from work. Maybe it will help you guys too,.

Thanks for your feedback! It is something really rare. I am also reproducing the same error in my Steam Deck also in a native Windows 11 partition... Then... Nothing related with Proton at this point. I upvoted your bug report but dont have any hope of receiving feedback from the devs. It looks that we will get only support when we pay for the new Endless Legend 2. The way to get support is really horrible, and I am talking as owner of all the company games. First time I need support... NOTHING!
