True. In the U.S. its discounted to $15 with a base price of $20.

Could it be some kind of compensation for the difference of purchasing power between the Euro and USD? That goes against intuition, but reasoning can be provided to support it << Could provide details but that would turn out to be a wall of text.

Of course, this sets the International American Economy into a death spiral, but at least we get quality French video games for cheap, right?

I'm very disappointed in having to purchase the founder's pack of Dungeon of the Endless in order to play The Vaulters faction in Endless Space. I have no interest in playing Dungeon of the Endless and have played Endless Space (and Disharmony) from its release. Why do I have to pay for a game I don't want in order to get the latest update to Endless Space? A game that is in Alpha and finding video of the actual game play seems impossible. All I have to say is this is very disappointing. I expected better.

Have to agree, I see nothing in this other game to interest me. I'd pay 4.99 for the Vaulters or any other new race as DLC, but to buy some other game for access sounds like marketing tripe and gaming the system. Look how popular our new game is!!! Yeah, when everyone buys it, plays five minutes, then jumps into the game they wanted to play

If it was another strategy game then maaaybe you could justify it but having the Vaulters as completely exclusive to people who drop $15-$20 for a game of a completely different genre seems quite unfair to fans of the series. I'd be perfectly ok with dropping some money to get the Vaulters because I didn't buy Dungeons of the Endless, but giving Endless Space players no way of unlocking the full game without paying so much money is quite frankly, kind of stupid.

This. I'm interested in neither playing a rogue-like nor purchasing one game to unlock something in another game and hope Amplitude will make the Vaulters available for everyone as DLC soon.

I wouldn't mind if the Vaulters will become a DLC after some months. I understand the reasons for Amplitude Studios, but I also understand the anger of those who feel slighted.

Maybe the Vaulters could be released as a payable DLC some later down the line, but for now It could be an exclusive "thank you" for those who did buy DotE.

@Akuma: I somewhat disagree with calling this game "rogue-like". Sure, it's a randomly generated dungeon, but the base-game is that of tower/dungeon defence.

Vaulters only with Dungeons of the Endless?

Mkay no money from me, i dont support such tactics to bring people to buy Games.

I hate rouge-like and i don't buy a Game for a ES-Race when i never will play this Game, even not for 15€ or later 20€.

I was getting dungeons of the endless anyways, so nice to have the vaulters to try out. Their ships looks to be a little bit weaker than the other races, but they seem to get some sexy teleportation tech.

Regardless, I am sure the vaulters will become available for everyone eventually, I guess this was just a promotional thing.
