How to add soule to the game

It was up for the last vote. And it won. And considering the devs have made good on all of their promises so far, you aren't earning any credibility by spitting on them.

Ships (in especially large ones) should be much more expensive in upkeep and production but also must be much harder to destroy. This way they can get some "personality".

Battles should be tweaked a lot so that not every battle ends in complete destruction of one side(usually this happens already in long range phase ).

Instead battles between evenly numberes fleets should tend to end in a draw. This would make reinforcemens and off-battle repair much more important.

Off course the fleet system concerning upkeep and production and AI behaviour has to be changed but i am sure such changes would give much spice to combat and overall game feeling.

This one is a must have. Espacialy Victory Movies. The simple Pop Up at the end is always disapointing. You win and it does not feal like a win. I wach the Victory movies of CIV or MoO everytime. It just feals more like a Victory that is celebratet.

Befor adding hige ships i would say ad smaler ones // Figters // wich should launch at the arriving phase, so they impakt on the enemy after the first salvo of beam weapons. other wise they will never see action.

In what way are they not clear? How is razing systems or battle actions in auto ambiguous.

Adding touches of personality like MOO would be great, IMHO. They game plays fine (though diplomacy could use some work), but I agree it's missing some "soule".

Well the developers are doing a piss poor job in conveying what we are voting on. Hell a couple of times I wasn't even remotely sure what I one or more choices actually was going to do.

Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion did it and it's been a positive change for them. The thing is, it really wouldn't work in Endless Space. I already posted a summary of the issues with implementing them, but I also thought of another: If there WERE huge ships, they would be almost impossible to take out since your fleets can only be a limited size. And if you can have escort ships WITH your huge ships, then if the person with a huge ship has the better military tech, it would simply be impossible for the other player to take it out. Even if you bombarded the ship with multiple fleets, you would just need to play three rounds of Engineering each battle and be at 100% for the next.

Don't know what you mean with "feks", but the idea of finding resources or techs by random events is not that bad. But for my taste there are enough random events, most of which can be really annoying.

I don't think that a capital planet would be a solution for that, especially not for the "game feeling". But still I like the idea of a capital planet, it just feels right.

I'm sorry, but I really don't understand that point. Scenarios are another game option that differs from the "normal" game. That would be a nice addon, in some version later.

It's not only about diplomacy, but also about the fact there's no scenario in the game. I'd like to create real tutorials that would introduce special powers of races. Like starting a game with Amoeba and being cornered in a small part of the galaxy and you neighboors that are waging war against each others, and you have to get a pacific win.

Some of these sound like they are nice ideas, but the lack of spelling and grammar makes it pretty hard to understand what you mean.

I'm pretty sure the aim of the diplomacy improvement is to give all of the factions more "personality" - making Sophons and Amoeba rather docile and the Cravers noticeably more aggressive, for example.

I think you are reading far more into what we voted on than the developers intend. The big gripe people had with alliances was that you could be forced into wars and cease fires without your knowledge. I doubt very much it will apply much beyond that. If they would add something challenging like espionage then I would be impressed, as it stands both of the other two items were far better choices. The Auto Battle for making MP games tolerable with many players and the AI one well, for a challenge that didn't require artificially boosting the numbers the AI plays with or ignores

adding a capiral planet in eache system where the system improvments are easy to view.



Making some short simpel event movies for the bigest events like settlign the first plannet.



adding som fun messages from the ai players sending you emails



adding scenarios wiche stick more to eache factions story. Like having amobiee not grow but they have a set of tecs and planets.



Makking the ships change as you add moudls and wepons.

That game needs some way to have triggers and tied events. The lore isn't really shown in all its beauty.

I do think it would be nice to add a little bit of flair to the planets, and to also see them changed as you develop them. I always enjoyed how in Sins of a Solar Empire you could see all the ships and stuff circling the planet's surface when you zoomed in. It was a small touch that added a lot. It would be cool in Endless Space if the planets reflected their development, i.e. the atmosphere becomes smoggy if you industrialize it.
